Prakhar Shahi
Publisher & Editor, United One News
Prakhar Shahi founded United One News to show how India's news outlets cover the same story, side by side. As publisher and editor he is responsible for everything the site publishes. He writes its original reports and explainers, with a focus on Indian politics, public policy, elections and the economy, and he built the platform that groups each story's coverage and labels every outlet's leaning. Before United One News, Prakhar spent eight years in technology, four of them as a product manager. At Innova Solutions he led the rollout of an Oracle Fusion HCM system to 12,000 employees and a workforce-management product used by 800 people. At Tata Consultancy Services he worked on Nielsen's digital ad ratings data platform. Every original report he publishes links the documents and outlets it draws on.
